- Great, but a pity about the emasculation!Until I can find a good CD of Atlantic surf crashing and thundering on the rugged Cornish coast (my quest for that has been a wild goose chase so far), on the face of it this Tropical Surf CD is a very nice sound to have playing. However, for me it is disappointing in one particular and quite important way. The recording engineer, according to the information in the insert, had 'rolled off' frequencies below about 80Hz, because, it is claimed, those lower frequencies are actually not heard by people. ... - The white noise you needFor years I suffered with noisy neighbours, yapping dogs, screeching deliquents outside my window. Then I discovered the Tropical Surf CD and everything changed! No music at all, just 60 mins of the sound of waves crashing on the beach. The strong deep sound means next door's party is inaudible. The swooshing of the waves means higher frequency noise is also blocked. A truly wonderful CD.
