As with his earlier releases, 'Qui Seme Le Vent Recolte Le Tempo' and 'Prose Combat', and his later self-titled CD, on 'Paradisiaque' MC Solaar combines hip-hop and jazz grooves to create stylish, chic and ultra-smooth tracks par excellence. 'Gangster Moderne' and 'Le Temps Changent' are the highlights of what is an all-round solid album. i waited impatiently for this cd as the songs i've heard by mc solaar before are intelligent and rythmic, without all the macho, misogynistic crap that usually spoils rap and hip-hop. this album still has a similar flavour but apart from paradisiaque and gangster moderne is a bit boring, sound-wise. lyrically it's very good.
