- j'aime beacoup le funky phat beatThis is probably one of the classic hip-hop albums of the early 90s- brilliant production, infectious, jazzy loops, and ultra-smooth rapping from Solaar. Whether you understand French or not you can't help but admire his seamless lyrical flow, but it obviously helps- because Solaar doesn't fill his rhymes with cliched gangsta nonsense, but rhymes thoughfully about a range of subjects. This album is a refreshing change from the norm - superbly mixed, amazing DJ skills and Solaar's sublime vocals make this a must for all beat junkies.
Don't be put off by the fact that he raps mainly in his native tongue as this all add's more +'s to the album. You'll be addicted after 1 play.
