- Great begginers guide and not just for classical...Most stuff you find when wanting to learn the violin is classical stuff. There are a limited number of self-teaching resources for the fiddle as it is, without them all just being classical, which is a problem when your looking at doing irish folk like me. I thort id take a chance with this video and it is apsolutly perfect. This video takes you through everything from buying your first violin to playing your first tune.
