- One of the best anime series of the 90s...Up there with 'Evangelion', this is an intelligent, well written, beautiful looking series. Whilst the series obviously looks 'of its time' it stills looks amazing. Box set is expensive though so region 1 may be the way to go.

- Nice dvd marred by technical problemsAs always, Escaflowne itself, the series, continues to be wonderful. The direction, voice acting, art and pacing are excellent, and the plot has always been brilliantly inspired.
However, this dvd set contains technical issues which detract from this.
For one thing, the visual quality of this release is reminiscent of a bad VHS quality release. Colours fluctuate, the lines and outlines all show rainbow effects, and, all, in all, it looks more like a screener from a cinema than ... Read More
